Several Panthers players currently hold records for feats at their position, and the Panthers team as a whole either holds or shares a few records themselves — some admittedly are better than others.To celebrate records week at SB Nation, let’s take a closer look at some of the records held by the Panthers and their players.Julius Peppers — No. 1 among active players in career sacks (154.5)Peppers ranks No. 4 among all players for career sacks, and only needs six sacks in 2018 to move up to No. 3 all-time over Kevin Greene. Fun fact: Three of the top four players in career sacks all played for the Panthers (Reggie White, Greene, Peppers).Cam Newton — No. 1 all-time in rushing TDs by a QB (54)Newton ranks No. 6 among active players for rushing touchdowns. The top five are all running backs, and the closest quarterback to Newton on the list is Aaron Rodgers, who is ranked No. 26.Captain Munnerlyn — No. 1 in Panthers history in INTs returned for a TD (5)Munnerlyn is No. 7 among all active players in interceptions returned for a touchdown and is tied for No. 31 all time when retired players are included.Greg Olsen — First TE in history with 3 consecutive seasons of 1000 receiving yards He probably would have had a fourth if not for that stupid broken ankle in 2017. By the way, the Falcons had a 28-3 lead in that game and lost.Panthers — Most NFC South titles (5; 2003, 2008, 2013-2015)The Panthers have won the division more than the other three teams. The Falcons and Saints have each won the NFC South four times, and the Buccaneers have won it three.Panthers — Most consecutive NFC South titles (3; 2013-2015)This includes the amazing 2014 season that saw the Panthers win the division with a 7-8-1 record. In Weeks 5-10, the league is only allowed to two games per week. However, from Weeks 10-17, the league can flex as many games as they see fit.Games cannot be flexed to or from Monday or Thursday night.
